Women's Ministry

Colossians 2:2-3

The heart of a family is the heart of a woman.  She is the completion of man in God’s plan for creation.  She is the help that was needed to heal the broken hearted.  She was the help that God saw that would have answers to some of life’s most difficult problems.  She holds the solution to the wounded human soul.  She binds up the broken hearts and she encourages those she loves to persevere when facing a challenge, that they may grow deeper in faith, hope and most of all the Love of God.

We are daughters of our Father God. 

This ministry, raises up daughters, teaching them who they are in the eyes of their Father God who formed them in their mother’s womb and knows their beginning and end.

We speak vision into their lives by teaching what God’s word says about them.

Our worship is our expression of who we are as daughters of our Father God.

We encourage and support each other as sisters.

We raise up a generation yet unborn as we speak life into the lives of our young women.

Men's Ministry – The Roster

Proverbs 27:17

No man should be alone to face the trials, struggles and sometimes overwhelming responsibilities that come with being a man. Moses had Aaron, Joshua had Caleb, and Paul had Silas.  Jesus surrounded Himself with 12 good men and encouraged meeting regularly together to strengthen, break bread, and encourage one another to good works. Our men’s ministry has been called the "Roster" because we see the importance of a team effort to win this game of life! Men need a team of encouragers, exhorters and elders to come along side them so they can continue to push and win the prize. Many men have experienced their share of flagrant fouls in life, and have contemplated quitting. It is especially during those times that they need a team player to come along side them, and remind them that there is a free throw line where there progress can continue and not be impeded!  In football they call it “moving the chains” where you get a fresh new set of downs to score your touchdown! Men need other men to help them “move the chains!”  Through regular monthly meetings, trust is developed, and vital relationships established. Our playbook includes worship, regular fellowship with a catered meal, devotions from the Word of God and prayer.

The ROSTER meets the last Tuesday of every month – 7:30pm

Sarah’s House Ministry – Home for Unwed Mothers

Sarah’s House is a ministry of Heart of Worship.  The mission of Sarah’s House is to provide a home for young women in crisis pregnancy.  Sarah’s House is a residential program that restores the lives of young women and renews their Hope through meeting their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.  This vital ministry also provides Mentoring and Parenting classes as well as baby clothing to meet the needs of the child.  Sarah’s House provides young women the opportunity to receive medical care, education, biblical counsel, food, clothing and the pregnancy skills to care for their child in a supervised and structured, home environment.  Sarah’s House also provides adoption services.

A location has become available in the West Islip area for our first residential home.  We are praying to obtain this site through the generous donations of church’s, corporations and individuals who yoke with this ministry.

Crossing Jordan - Worship

Crossing Jordan is a contemporary worship band that birthed at Heart of Worship in 2001. They have been playing and writing together for over 10 years, creating catchy melodies with spirit filled messages that capture the word of God.  Although the band consists of 3 family members, Crossing Jordan has grown to become a group of 6 close friends who love the Lord. They use all of their gifts and talents for the glory of God; striving to reach lost hearts through the ministry of worship. They have had the opportunity to minister at multiple churches across Long Island and have even appeared on national television.  Their first album,  "Walk With Me" debuted in the summer of 2010 and their latest album, "God of Love" débuted in early 2016. Emergent Young Adult Meetings          

This new Young Adult Meeting promises to Energize and Emerge every Young adult in the senior high to college age groups! They will discover their greater calling and be encouraged to run in that calling, to influence their families, friends and everyone they come in contact with! Every Young Adult will experience Great Worship, devotions and fellowship! The Emergent group meets every Friday at 7:00pm. We invite All Young Adults to Worship with us at Emergent!
